Sexuality and Disability: Rehabilitation
Sexual dysfunction in patients with physical or neurologic disabilities is often overlooked by medical personnel, but it is a topic of great importance to the patient and to those with whom he/she shares significant relationships. People with disabilities are sexual individuals with sexual desires and concerns that require the attention of health care providers. The largest myth about people with disabilities is that they are less sexual than are persons without disabilities.
